澎湖煙火節2026:今晚點亮台灣島嶼的七龍珠Z無人機煙火秀

Starting tonight, the skies over Penghu are about to get absolutely wild.

Penghu International Fireworks Festival 2026 kicks off today (May 4) and runs all the way through August 25 — that’s 33 spectacular shows spread across Taiwan’s most beautiful archipelago. And this year’s theme? Dragon Ball Z. Yes, really.

What Makes This Year Special

Every year, Penghu’s fireworks festival draws hundreds of thousands of visitors to this chain of 90 islands in the Taiwan Strait. But 2026 takes things to another level with Dragon Ball Z-themed drone light shows — imagine Goku, Shenron, and spirit bombs painted across the night sky in formation by hundreds of synchronized drones, followed by massive fireworks explosions over the ocean.

The shows happen at Guanyinting Recreation Area (觀音亭), right on the waterfront where the fireworks reflect off the calm bay waters. Each Monday and Thursday evening throughout summer, a different show tells a new story in the sky.

Why Penghu Is Worth the Trip

Penghu isn’t just about fireworks. These coral-reef islands offer some of Taiwan’s most pristine beaches, incredible basalt column formations, centuries-old temples, and seafood so fresh it practically jumps onto your plate. The islands sit about 50 km off Taiwan’s western coast — reachable by a quick 30-minute flight from Taipei or a 90-minute ferry from Kaohsiung.

May through September is peak season, when the monsoon winds die down and the islands transform into a turquoise paradise that rivals anywhere in Southeast Asia.

Quick Facts

  • Dates: May 4 – August 25, 2026
  • Shows: 33 performances (Mondays & Thursdays)
  • Theme: Dragon Ball Z (drone show + fireworks)

Getting There

Flights run daily from Taipei Songshan (TSA), Taichung (RMQ), and Kaohsiung (KHH). Book early — summer flights to Penghu sell out fast. The ferry from Kaohsiung is a scenic alternative if you don’t mind a slightly longer journey.

如果你是 planning when to visit Taiwan, May through June gives you both the fireworks festival opening weeks AND fewer crowds before the July-August peak. And if Penghu’s on your radar, check out our complete Taiwan destinations guide for more island adventures.

Tonight, somewhere over the Taiwan Strait, a thousand drones will form a Spirit Bomb in the sky — and real fireworks will make it explode. Only in Taiwan. 🎆
