And this year&#8217;s theme? <strong>Dragon Ball Z.<\/strong> Yes, really.<\/p>\n<h2>What Makes This Year Special<\/h2>\n<p>Every year, Penghu&#8217;s fireworks festival draws hundreds of thousands of visitors to this chain of 90 islands in the Taiwan Strait. But 2026 takes things to another level with <strong>Dragon Ball Z-themed drone light shows<\/strong> \u2014 imagine Goku, Shenron, and spirit bombs painted across the night sky in formation by hundreds of synchronized drones, followed by massive fireworks explosions over the ocean.<\/p>\n<p>The shows happen at Guanyinting Recreation Area (\u89c0\u97f3\u4ead), right on the waterfront where the fireworks reflect off the calm bay waters.
