Taiwan Merch Co was founded by Jon Jones, a Denver, Colorado native who moved to Taiwan three decades ago and never looked back. What started as a young American’s adventure to the other side of the world became a lifelong love affair with one of Asia’s most extraordinary places.
After 30 years of living on this island, Jon speaks the language, understands the culture inside and out, and has explored every corner of Taiwan — from the neon-lit streets of Taipei to the misty peaks of Alishan, from the coral reefs of Kenting to the marble gorges of Taroko.

Taiwan Merch Co exists for one reason: to celebrate Taiwan — its people, its culture, its landscapes, its food, its spirit. Portuguese sailors called it Ilha Formosa — the Beautiful Island — and that name still rings true today.
